In dieser Folge widmen wir uns den US-amerikanischen Gefängnissen und beantworten Fragen, die oft für Verwirrung sorgen: Was ist der Unterschied zwischen 'jail' und 'prison'? Welche Kritik wird an der Privatisierung von Gefängnissen in den USA geäußert? Was bedeuten die verschiedenen Sicherheitsstufen? Das US-amerikanische Strafvollzugssystem ist äußerst komplex und hat viele Besonderheiten, über die es sich zu informieren lohnt. Um einen umfassenden Einblick zu gewähren, haben wir einen Experten zu Gast: Professor Rainer Prätorius, Politikwissenschaftler und ausgewiesener USA-Kenner. Gemeinsam mit ihm beleuchten wir die verschiedenen Aspekte des US-amerikanischen Strafvollzugssystems und erhalten wertvolle Einblicke.
