Madrid has long been a leading analyst of Latino voters and has led strategic outreach to Latino communities for various campaigns over the past 30 years. Now, he’s written a forthcoming book, titled The Latino Century: How America's Largest Minority Is Transforming Democracy, to provide a comprehensive study on voting trends among Latino voters. In today’s conversation, Mike, Debbie, and Ryan discuss why both Democrats and Republicans have struggled to reach Latino voters, how issues like the economy and housing are pushing Hispanic voters further right, and why dangerous stereotypes are costing both parties key votes.
