Losing weight seems to be a national past time. There is so much confusion over the different fad diets in the popular media. Four decades of observation of athletes and patients (thousands of individuals) has lead me to understand the basic equation. INPUT ---> PROCESSING ---> OUTPUT. The processing, or how your body (which is completely individual and dynamic) handles foods can change year to year within individuals and can change due to illness, injury, environmental conditions. Your adapting DNA (Epigenetics) can drive one's metabolism in positive or negative directions that are unexpected. You are your own science experiment. Your body's handling of diet (the foods you eat) is variable. What works for one season of life may be detrimental in another season of life.
