Surviving Empathy

I get to the point where if I'm tired or in an uncertain mood, I start to feel weird and overexposed, and start feeling weird about myself being out there for everyone to hear, scrutinize, and criticize. There's a couple of things I do to allow myself to not become my own worst critic, and to not be just a people pleaser, even though in my heart of hearts I very much feel like I want to make everyone happy. Not everyone is going to like me or this podcast, and that's ok. I'm trying to reach and please as many people as possible, but that's simply impossible! With my special guest my wife Rebecca, who's dealt with shyness her entire life as a dancer, she'll help us figure out how to not care so much when we feel under pressure to please and be liked by everybody.
