I want to talk about the three ways to deal with unsolicited business advice. Here's something that almost every entrepreneur can relate to getting unsolicited business advice from friends and family. We have been there, and it sucks. Maybe your loved ones have been doubting your services and second guessing your prizes. Maybe they don't get what you do at all. We are going to talk about why unsolicited advice is such a major problem and three suggestions for dealing with it. Because here's the thing people love to give advice, but well meaning advice from friends and family that doesn't always feel so supportive. Am I right?
Here are my top three favorite ways to respond to unwanted feedback.
Number 1: Focus on the positive.
Number 2: Turn the question around.
Number 3: Completely change the subject.
