Ep. 39 - "Normalise Talking About Mental Health" - Navigating Life With Georgia Grou
Manage episode 287165190 series 2862474
In this episode, I am joined by friend of the show, Georgia Grou! Gee first appeared on episode 12.
Gee has recently been awarded "Young Charity Woman of the Year" in the Buckinghamshire Women in Charity Awards. She's had a whirlwind week of press and interviews so I'm lucky to have got her in for a quick chat!
We talk about Gee's award and how she was surprised with it, we talk cancel culture, and we also talk about mental health. Gee opens up about her personal experiences battling mental health issues and how she has managed to stay so positive after a difficult experience with her close friend passing away at University, and the subsequent diagnosis of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This is a discussion that is a must listen, one of the more powerful discussions I've had on the podcast!
