Alicia, a young woman who faced immense challenges while growing up. Raised by a mother struggling with her mental health, Alicia's journey took her through the foster care system before finding a new home with her father and stepmother. Although things initially seemed to improve, tensions between Alicia and her stepmother grew over time, leading her down a path of self-destruction.
Searching for an escape from her troubled home life, Alicia found solace in the party scene, which eventually led to experimentation with various substances. Though maintaining a sense of control, everything changed when she met her match in cocaine. Severe addiction quickly took hold, constantly fixating on the comfort that would come with the next high.
In a bid for independence and escape, Alicia made the decision to move to Toronto. However, the allure of the big city only deepened her descent into the clutches of addiction. With limited options and desperate to support her habit, Alicia found herself working as an exotic dancer, further entangled in a world that seemed to offer no way out.
