Introducing Media-Leadership and Communications - The New CEO with Kerry Siggins
Manage episode 449011653 series 3369462
Hello everyone, I have been working in Media since my 12th Birthday. On July 1, 1970, I took the stage at Jones Beach Marine Theater in New York, in "The Sound of Music." Since that time, I have trained and practiced, journalism; creative direction in advertising; and music, as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, composer; and lyricist. This week marks a landmark for media professionals, like me. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, none of us should be happy with the way media has behaved. And I and some of my colleagues, are obliged to take responsibility as professionals in media; creative production and innovation. This report is a must listen for those who care about a Free Press. It is an interview with a new type of CEO. Ms. Kerry Siggins, CEO of Stone Age, based in Durango, Colorado, is that type of leader that we need in Media. In this three-part report, I have decided to start, Media-Leadership and Communications as a branch of my nonprofit, Sound Century. Sound Century preserves, protects and passes on media and journalistic values to present and future generations of Media Professionals. Join us at soundcenturyoriginals@gmail.com.
