My guest for this episode is James Barnes, a man who epitomizes the idea of living life through the lens of empathy. We discussed that concept and why it is so important to learn in order to understand what others are going through. We also spent a lot of time talking about parenting - how to grapple with the highs and lows of how we were parented, how things have drastically changed for Millennial parents, how it's okay for parenting to not be for everyone, and again using empathy as our guide, how parenting is just simply a lot of work. He also explained to me why he loves food - not just merely consuming it, but the love that can be packaged with it when it’s made for you.
