In this episode, Nikki interviews Beverly Hawkins about how aromatherapy has evolved over the years and importance of education, and looking at her membership program.
Bev Hawkins has incorporated aromatics and other alternative modalities into her life and practice for over 30 years. She has extensive training, certificates and diplomas in many different modalities. She first started teaching aromatherapy courses and workshops in 1995, and in 1999 founded the West Coast Institute of Aromatherapy offering formal Aromatherapy Certification Courses and Workshops, although as of December 2022 she has retired from teaching Full Certification Courses. As a practitioner, she loves being able to work with clients in a one to one setting where she can take advantage of the many skills she has learned and incorporated into her 'toolbox'. Another of her passions is being able to share the knowledge she has gained, and continues to gain, with others. The Bev Hawkins Membership Club, a subscription club, was created in January 2020 as an avenue to do this in a less formal and more relaxed way.
