On this episode of “Outside is AmeriKKKa” hear our thoughts on some recent happenings in New Haven, from criminalized protesters to a city employee who has been found to have reported marriages to immigration, so grab your favorite snack, let’s unpack this. Not everyone agrees that organizers who came out to demand a Ceasefire should have been held accountable for something they did not do, nor encouraged. And to add salt to the wound, the Mayor of New Haven had no issue a few months back holding an emergency presser to address mishandling at funds within Parks and Rec yet, the Registrar, who was not only privileged enough to be moved around to different departments but also apparently able just ignore the alleged ‘Welcoming City’ Executive Order signed into effect back in July 2020, yet the Mayor not only just now found out but did not see the need to hold a presser for that? Must be nice to have privilege. What does any of this have to do with organizing? What does it have to do with who controls the bag? Tune in and find out.
