I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast.
We continue with our guest, my new friend, Heather Ash Burroughs.
If you haven't listened to Part 1, click
here and hear how Heather followed in her father's footsteps to become a school psychologist and advocated for her daughter, Erin, and won her case with the US Dept of Justice.

Today in Stand Up and Speak Out Part 2,
you will learn:
*
How Heather and Homesteads for Hope help support, teach skills, and provide hope for those with special needs and for their families in collaboration with the community.
*Heather
shares how her mentor, Jackie, helped Heather through her own difficult moments, including through her divorce.
*Heather
offers tips on how to deal with the challenges in marriage when you have a child with special needs.
Stay tuned for Part 3.

Have you had a mentor who helped you through difficulties? How have you found hope?
