Previously on Geeks Represent, we’ve talked about the importance of health especially when it comes to people of color. However, one of the most neglected aspects of health is that of the mind. If the last few years have shown us anything, it’s that our mental health cannot be taken for granted, and that people of color have been particularly vulnerable due to both systemic racism and culture norms. That’s why it’s so important that mental health issues are accurately portrayed in the media in order to spread awareness and understanding.
