And looking ahead to the weekend, get ready for more sun and heat on Saturday with a high near 103. Heat index values could reach up to 109. Winds shifting to the east around 5 miles per hour.
Sunday remains sunny and hot with a high near 99. Calm winds becoming east-northeast around 5 miles per hour.
As we move into next week, the trend of hot and sunny weather continues with highs near 100 degrees. Mornings start warm with lows in the 70s.
