A lot of us want to become financially independent from our parents. Becoming financially stable can be hard when you have grown up in poverty and/or have not not yet healed your money wounds. Many of us may have grown up seeing our immigrant mothers and other female role models struggle with having a financial voice. As adults we may now be trying to become financially literate but we still get stressed easily because we may not have the knowledge that our white counterparts have when it comes to finances.

We all want to be financially free but for daughters of immigrants, money can often cause us a lot of stress. When womxn of color earn 55 cents to the dollar a white man earns, it is time that we learn how to find our financial voice. So how do we do this? As we kick of Hispanic Heritage Month, I am so excited to bring in a 1st gen Latinx tax professional to talk to us about using our financial voice. Sonia Castelan shares tips in this episode on how to feel more confident when it comes to your money, especially when it comes to doing your taxes. Tune in as Sonia shares her story and gives us all amazing tips on taxes so that we are less stressed when it comes to tax season. You can learn more about Sonia below:
