Hello all, and welcome to our last episode for this month of June. We start this show with two Ludicrous Leadoffs, both of which focus on money. In the first, we share the story of a rare Atari 2600 game being found in a bit by Goodwill and eventually selling at auction for a good chunk of change. In the second Ludicrous Leadoff, we fill you in on how much the recent charitable bundle from Itch.Io raised for Palestinian relief efforts. In the meat & potatoes gaming news of the show, we start off with the return of an old face that hasn't been heard from much these days... Cyberpunk 2077! Yes, the much-maligned game is returning for sale on the PlayStation Store. After that, we'll have our say on Facebook's recent announcement of ads being placed in games on the Oculus, which has already seen one developer pull their game from the program. Keeping on the tech discussion, we'll discuss Microsoft's plan to use their new console to extend the life of their old console. In our Blast From The Past segment, we fete milestone anniversaries for some fantastic summer blockbuster movies in Independence Day, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Continue reading →
