We catch up with Sheba’s biological parents Burg and Colette, of Burgundy and Blue, through their Vanity Fair interview with Carter Baird. Burg and Colette, we find, have masked the pain of their loss, with the pursuit of success. By channeling their pain through the beauty of well-crafted words and melody, they’ve now reached the pinnacle of stardom and celebrity. The duo is reluctant to share, as Carter digs for the deeper story, he knows they are hiding.

“My Name Is Sheba,” is the biweekly fictional saga of iconic jazz/R&B artist, Sheba Hawkins, who rose from obscurity as an orphan, to superstardom, and the music she created along the way. It’s also about the creative life, and the beautiful struggle… a different kind of story.
