EPISODE SUMMARY
This podcast is dedicated to celebrating the journey of black women to embrace their natural hair, with our host, Lisa. E, aka Natural Born Sistah, who inspires black women to groom and confidently flaunt their natural hair.
In this episode with Gladia Etienne, Professional Hair Healer and Podcaster, talks about her experience being bullied as a child. Gladia is what I like to call the healer of hair based on her hair journey that allowed her to learn her hair and its beauty. Gladia took all that knowledge and packaged it into a 2 hour workshop that allowed her to help many women with their natural hair. .
Gladia talks about her hair events through big chops and curl discoveries. The more she learned the more she was impressed with her hair and how to take care of it. Gladia is a real gem, despite all she has been through as it pertains to her natural hair. And with her resilience through it all, she has become more confident, more educated as it relates to the maintenance and styling of her natural coils.
Oh and by the way, Gladia is 37 years old. She chopped a few years off in this episode by saying she was 34 years, when she looks way younger than both ages!
