There’s frustration, debate, and a real sense of questioning of where this team is heading this season although it’s early days still Are Brentford simply undercooked after a stuttering start? Football is back. And Brentford, according to opposition fans and the media, are all over the place. Fifth in line for for relegation according to the bookies. Nearly 50% of bets places by punters on the next relegated team going on Brentford Our model has got a lot to prove to people this season. Will it hold up. Or will this be the season where finally, something has had to give The Beesotted crew of Billy The Bee grant, Dave Laney Lane, Ai Mullalley and Gary GP Paul looked up pre season to chat all things Brentford. And there was a lot to chat about Wissa's not on fire. Coz he's not even in the side. But will Yoanne get the move that he has gone on strike for or will Brentford hold firm? We've got a good idea where this one is going Brentford's Womens team has had a huge upheaval with plenty of ins and outs and a new head coach - Carly Williams. What is on the horizon for the Women's team. Are they looking to make a huge step up. And what about the players who have left? Has their departure been done in a most un-Brentford way? Some people think so Brentford's new digital ti getting system. Is it a pain in the arse or will it rid us off away fans in the home area. The Beesotted Brentford Pride of West London Podcast

With the new season rapidly approaching, there’s no shortage of drama in the world of Brentford FC — and the Beesotted Pride of West London podcast crew is back to break it all down. In this week’s episode, Dave ‘Laney’ Lane, Lewis ‘Sherlock’ Holmes, and Gary ‘GP’ Paul come together to unpack the latest news, transfer chatter, and media nonsense surrounding the Bees. 🚨 Mbeumo Joins Manchester United It’s official: Bryan Mbeumo has joined Manchester United in a blockbuster £65 million deal — a figure that could rise to £71 million with add-ons. While the fee feels like good business for the Bees, the drama didn’t stop at the signing. Apparently, Manchester United weren’t too impressed with Brentford’s negotiation tactics — a claim that amused the panel no end. United not happy with tough negotiations? Hey ho!. 😤 Wissa Wants Out Meanwhile, Yoane Wissa has reportedly downed tools and is refusing to train in a bid to force a move away from West London. Sources claim he’s returning to Jersey Road this week however — how thoughtful. Newcastle United remain strongly linked, with Saudi interest also growing. Wissa is said to be banking on previous verbal assurances from the club, while Brentford hold firm at a £50 million valuation. The club has made it clear: only one major sale this window, and that door is now closed.. unless the money is too much to ignore. But with fans growing frustrated and Wissa’s legacy under threat, the lads ask — has Wissa burned his bridges? 📉 Relegation Rhetoric Pundits are already writing Brentford off this season, with gloomy predictions and relegation talk swirling. But is this media laziness or a genuine cause for concern? The panel has their say. Catch more on this in next week’s appearance by Dave Lane on The Overlap with Jamie Carragher and Paul Scholes, where they will give their verdict on Brentford’s summer and survival hopes. 🇵🇹 Pre-Season in Portugal The first friendly of the pre-season ended in a 1-1 draw with Gil Vicente. Aaron Hickey was the standout performer. 24 players were rotated in a match that showcased squad depth — or lack thereof up top. Nunes picked up a knock, suspected to be a hamstring issue. Donovan was handed a big opportunity to impress. 🏟️ Loftus Road Up Next Brentford travel to Loftus Road this Saturday for a 3pm kick-off against QPR. As tradition dictates, the Bees will pay a charitable visit to their struggling local neighbours, giving their fans something to get briefly excited about. 🕊️ RIP Mark Lazarus We also mark the passing of Brentford legend Mark Lazarus. The winger made 62 appearances and scored 20 goals before moving on to Crystal Palace. A true club great — rest in peace. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.…

Well, that escalated quickly. Losing Christian Nørgaard to Arsenal certainly felt like the end of an era for Brentford fans – one of the last remaining leaders from the squad that brought us up and kept us steady in the Premier League. Christian wasn’t flashy, but he was always reliable. Sure, his legs didn’t quite have 90 minutes in them twice a week anymore, but when he played, he made us tick. Defensive intelligence, cool under pressure, one of Thomas Frank’s most trusted lieutenants. So when word came on Friday morning that Jordan Henderson was set to replace him – on a free transfer, no less – our first reaction was: Seriously? But then, as the dust settled, the logic is clear. Maybe not the romance. Maybe with the Saudi flip-flopping fresh in our minds. But the logic. Dave 'Laney' Lane and Matt 'The Allard' Allard rocked up to a pub in Marble Hill, with Billy The Bee chipping in from the virtual boozer to chew the fat on all things Bees in what is proving to be another eventful week. As well as saying goodbye and than-you to Christian, we welcome Antoni Milambo from Feyenoord, plus the ongoing Bryan Mbuemo to Manchester United saga.. whilst Forest are supposedly sniffing around Wisa again but can't afford him. With rumours intensifying that Keith Andrews is set to be unveiled as the new Head Coach of Brentford, long-time fans and Beesotted podcasters Billy ‘The Bee’ Grant and Dave ‘Laney’ Lane felt compelled to call an emergency podcast — not quite full-blown 999, but certainly a 111-level situation. For a club that prides itself on a data-led, carefully calculated approach, this potential appointment has raised more than a few eyebrows among the Brentford faithful. Andrews is a name that hasn't exactly been front and centre in Premier League coaching circles, making this feel like a typically left-field Brentford move — the kind we've seen before with great success, but which still invites uncertainty. Fans are understandably split: some are open-minded, trusting the club’s track record in unearthing hidden gems, while others are questioning the logic behind taking such a big risk at such a crucial point in the club’s development. In the podcast, Billy and Laney try to unpack what might be going on behind the scenes — from the club’s desire to continue innovating, to the possibility that they see something in Andrews others have missed. They explore how Brentford, still punching above their weight in the Premier League, might benefit from fresh ideas and a new coaching philosophy. This is a pivotal moment for Brentford. One thing’s certain: the next chapter will be watched very, very closely in TW8. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.…

With Thomas Frank having now left Brentford, a wave of emotion has swept through the fanbase. His departure marks the end of an era that saw the Bees rise to the Premier League and earn respect across English football for their style, spirit, and smart recruitment. Understandably, fans are feeling a mixture of gratitude, sadness, and anxiety about what comes next. From memories of Frank’s touchline passion to concerns over maintaining the club’s identity, the episode captures a fanbase at a crossroads. With Dave Lane this week are Matt “The Allard” Allard, Lewis “Sherlock” Holmes, Charlie Briggs, and Robin Hood—plus a deep dive into the current bookies’ favourites to take over as head coach. With Thomas Frank’s departure to Tottenham Hotspur all but confirmed Billy The Bee Grant and Dave Laney Laney got together in the Beesotted Emergency Bunker to discuss the head coach situation at Brentford Football Club. The press has been in overdrive the past few days and the inevitablity of Frank’s move from West to North London seems a matter of when rather than if … As Brentford fans we are focussed on how developments affect our club, but the two Beesotted editors also discuss how they feel the likeable Dane will cope under Daniel Levy compared to Matthew Benham; who may come next at The Gtech, will it be Justin Cochrane or Jurgen Klopp; as well as whether Frank’s relationship with the Brentford fans will be compromised by the way the departure has played out so far. Thomas Frank’s track record at Brentford can never be questioned but, at these moments, all Bees fans share a mixed sense of concern, fear and uncertainty about the future… we hope this edition of the podcast reflects the views of most fans.
