Tuberville says the Olympics decision to force a female boxer to fight biological male is why GOP must protect Title IX
Manage episode 431911921 series 2606134
Senator Tommy Tuberville says the decision by the Olympic Committee to force a female boxer to fight a biological male resulting in the female quitting in tears after just 46 seconds is “so wrong,” and part of Marxist Socialist progressives, “total war on women.” The U.S. Senator for Alabama says that this display in Paris is why the GOP must fight back against ‘Marxist Socialist’ ideas by progressives against Title IX. Commenting, “Title IX is one of the best things to ever come out of the federal government. 50 years ago, I started with girls sports, I coached girls basketball, I saw the emergence of not just one or two, but eight or nine more sports that young girls could be involved in at the elementary school level, the high school level, given the chance to get a scholarship, just like the boys had. It's all about fairness, give them an opportunity to learn leadership skills and work skills, how to win how to Lose just like men and it has worked perfectly, and there's been no problems with it. But all of a sudden, we have a group that takes over our federal government, the deep state and basically says, ‘No, we don't want women to have the same thing as men, we want to curtail that, and we want to start another group identity politics, and let these boys think that they are women, they can play in girls and women's sports’.” Saying, the display at the Olympics this week where a female boxer was forced to fight “a transgender boy, she takes two punches, and she walks off and says she’s done. This is wrong, so wrong. So this is all about common sense. It's all about doing what's right for all people, not just a few people in the deep state.”
