In this episode we discuss how Lois Lee navigated her undergraduate career to get accepted into the University of Toronto's Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) program, and how she has transitioned into working as an Occupational Therapist in Canada.
Lois Lee completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and her Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. During her time as a student, she accumulated a wealth of experience with volunteer roles such as events coordinator for UNICEF at SFU, a functional tester for Special Olympics BC, and the Occupational Therapy program rep on the University of Toronto’s Graduate Student’s Union. Leading up to her career as an OT, Lois has worked as a student Kinesiologist at West Point Grey Physiotherapy Clinic, Adaptive Ski Instructor for the Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports, Personal Trainer at SFU, Research Assistant at UBC in the department of Occupational Therapy, and program worker at the Developmental Disabilities Association.
During her graduate program, she completed placements in Canada and abroad at 4 different organizations. Since graduating, she has discovered a passion for working with kids and is currently working as a pediatric OT at Footprints Therapy in Toronto.
