While all the usual suspects can be seen at Movie World from Bugs Bunny to Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, we suspect the sound of burning rubber might appeal more to today’s youth. It also appealed to veteran travel writer Mike Smith whose eyes were fixed on the Hollywood Stunt Driver Show, where the skills and precision driving of stunt drivers Scotty Gregory, Richard Lunn and Jimmy O’Halloran are put to the test (with the help of comical stunt man Peter Murphy). After strapping himself in to experience one of the rubber-burning drives with Scotty behind the wheel, Mike went behind the scenes to chat with the four men who entertain the usually packed crowd twice, sometimes three times a day.
