Frank shares as only a US Marine can, about life in the desert, leading young warriors, eating last and finally, the joy of coming home. Hear how the Lattimore and Taft families along with the Jacoways settled in Chattanooga and how Frank's wife, D'Arcy arrived in the area. This is a moving episode that is really just about people and relationships - from beginning to end. Recorded during a massive summer storm complete with bolts of thunder and lightning, the listeners will marvel at the timing of some of these bolts and claps as we discuss artillery and war.
Recorded on Lookout Mountain at the ancestral Hughes home, this episode has a wonderful, relaxed feel and pace and is a true testament to the type of people who make up the Lookout Mountain community.
