The Michael Doroc Experience (2024)

Michael Doroc is a New York City, Brooklyn-born native whose parents moved from Puerto Rico to Brownsville Brooklyn as children with their parents in the mid-1950s. Michael was born in 65, and his upbringing at home and on the streets taught him how to survive the turmoil of the hood, but one thing about the rules of the streets was that you had to make a choice of being a Lion or a Sheep. Michael chose to be a Lion.

A podcast that will share his amazing story of survival, in the concrete jungles of New York City during the '70s as a child, the '80s as a drug dealer, and an inmate in the 90's. From drug addictions to sticking up prostitution brothels dressed as one of New York Citys finest. Hear how Michael fought to overcome his fears and challenges, only to becoming one of New York's hottest photographers and receiving a Hip Hop Honors Award for Best Photographer in the Music & Arts in 2012 at Baruch College.
