015 - A Song For Someone
Manage episode 292928650 series 2862340
How are you doing? I hope you have been okay. I will be honest, the start of the year has been a bit rough for me. There has absolutely been a lot to celebrate and be grateful for, but I have had some low points in my mental health that have required me to rest, and I am doing the best to honor that right now.
Feeling this has gotten me thinking about the many of us who have openly been struggling throughout our lives—and especially during the unprecedented time in the world lately.
So, this podcast episode is titled "A Song For Someone" based on the song by U2 that I sing and play on the ukulele in this episode. It has beautiful lyrics that remind me in even the darkest of times when my mind is telling me not to go on to keep going. It's that light within me, and within all of us, that is bigger than any pain to keep us here.
I hope that this episode provides you comfort if you feel lost, but because I do talk about s*****al thoughts, I want to place a trigger warning in case you are not in a place to hear this. I am here to support you, but the last thing I ever want to do is to put you in emotional distress.
This is one of those topics that can never be talked about enough because awareness is key to getting help. That is what has helped me heal and transform, even through are tumultuous times in life. This is what I hope to help you through as an Adult Chair® Certified Coach, and I am offering Discovery Calls to those who are looking for guidance but are not sure where to start.
I love and appreciate you. You are enough simply because you are!
