It uses food as a means to explore all of that, to dig into lesser-known corners of the region, complicate stereotypes, document new dynamics, and give voice to the unsung folk who grow, cook, and serve our daily meals.

Taking you back to 4/22/208 - It appears that, in some instances, I have had conversations with legends of the BBQ and grilling industry…and I don’t recall them. For instance…many many years ago, I had a conversation with legendary BBQ’er, John Willingham…off-line…a private one on one phone call for about 20min…the problem is…I DON’T REMEMBER ANY OF THAT! NOT EVEN ONE SECOND OF IT!!
In keeping with that trend this coming Friday, you will hear what was the first interview I ever did with legendary BBQ cook and businessman, Byron Chism of Bad Byron’s Butt Rub…How is that “keeping with the trend”...easy…because I thought the first time I had Byron on this show was LAST YEAR when we did a great interview…and I was certainly sure that it was the FIRST TIME he had done the show…but, indeed, it was not…in fact he was on this show for the first time when the “live” show was only 2 months old!!!
