In this episode, I wanted to share thoughts on avoidance, why you might be avoiding something, and how you can shift through that stuck emotion. In this episode, we discuss:

1) Avoidance is a way to make you feel in control, to avoid rejection or to avoid discomfort. Avoidance behaviour is a way to cope with uncomfortable thoughts or feelings. Many people rely on avoidance as a coping mechanism, which can seem like the easier path compared to confrontation — but avoidance can be harmful in the long run, leading to more fear, anxiety, and unhealthy habits 2) Your subconscious mind prefers and likes safety; in fact, it approves of feeling in control or safe. We tend to think and overthink, and we have to change the pattern of how we approach something. Anchor in the feelings of safety, feeling safe regardless of whether it is all working or nothing is working. Then, change the pattern before doing what you are avoiding, anchor the wins, and build the blocks to see your wins. Then, you change the pattern of avoidance permanently.
