“People in general have a love - hate relationship with boundaries. The tension arises when human emotions are provoked because one isn’t allowed to act on what they feel is their right, their privilege or their opportunity. Leaders are responsible for identifying, establishing and maintaining boundaries. A leader must draw the proverbial line in the sand, be clear about consequences if the line is crossed and be consistent about carrying out said consequences in the face of boundaries incursions. If you’re not paying attention, your boundaries are being tested, pushed and trampled daily. Time to check the lines you drew in the sand. Boundary maintenance is on you.”
