In this episode of Girls Gone Gritty, the hosts talk with Teddy Sourlis, founder of Men’s X Mental, about mental health in sports. Teddy opens up about his journey as a college basketball player dealing with serious injuries, which pushed him to redefine who he was beyond just an athlete. The conversation dives into the pressures athletes face, the importance of being vulnerable, and how Men’s X Mental is breaking the stigma around men’s mental health.
The episode also highlights the importance of creating supportive environments for athletes, whether through social media or personal connections. Stories of athletes like Noah Lyles and Kevin Love, who have shared their own mental health struggles, underline the need for more mental health awareness.
