This is the second annual Super Bowl episode! To lead the conversation, Jeff brings in his all-time favorite football coach, Payton Newkirk (plenty of favoritism in that statement!). Payton coached high school football this past season and is moving on to the college ranks. His experience has been invaluable and has helped him understand the importance of culture and leadership, both on and off the field. He drops several nuggets of meaningful insight.

A positive and productive culture is critical for organizational development and growth. There is no debate there. And, also not up for dispute is the need for strong and effective leadership to build that culture. But what attributes of a leader are important to make this happen, especially in football? Hard work, accountability, perseverance, and courage are all critical, just to name a few.
There are plenty of incredible football coaches at all levels of football: grade school, high school, college, and professional. But what is the common denominator present in the most successful programs? And, conversely, what is lacking in the programs that are struggling? Jeff and Payton discuss their observations and insights.
