You're not the Main Character in D&D!

Sometimes you have a player (or Game Master) at the table who thinks themselves more important than everyone else at the table (in and out of the game)

That is obviously bad but it might be a lot more covert and sometimes unintentional, so how do you deal with that and what are ways to move past this?
