In this episode of Cousin Ed's Corner, I discussed the importance of supporting our black businesses, particularly entrepreneurs and many of our content creators. I shared my personal experiences with podcasting, emphasizing the support needed from friends and family. I highlighted the challenges faced by black business owners, and issue A CALL TO ACTION to help one of our own; Aisha Taylor Issah from Sistahs In Business Expo and The Sistah Shop.

The Sistah Shop is currently facing some major financial difficulties and needs our help to keep it's doors open. I encourage everyone to take action by donating, buying products, or offering their time and skills to support black-owned businesses. I also challenged myself and each of you to find organizations to donate to and to actively support black businesses through various means, such as shopping at black-owned stores or joining black-owned banks.

Think about it - if a million of us put just one dollar a month towards a Black business, that's a million dollars a month going to support our community. We've got the power to make this happen.
So here's what I'm asking:

  1. Go buy something from a Black-owned business today.
  2. If you can, donate to a food pantry in your community.
  3. Use a Black-owned bank.
  4. Visit a Black-owned restaurant with your family this Sunday.
  5. Support Black content creators - buy their books, take their courses, use their services.

Let’s come together and make a change. By supporting each other, we can achieve Financial Freedom and empower our community. Check out the new episode:

Remember, we all can do more to help each other. Let's enrich our lives by helping others. Let's show up for our community. Let's start with The Sistah Shop!!! If you're in and want to help keep Black this business open, hit me up at 762-333-2032. I love each and every one of y'all, and I know together, we can make a real difference.
