This week we are talking with Mizar Fuentes-Ortega. Mizar is the owner of OPEX gym in Montreal. OPEX Montreal opened it's doors in 2013 and empowers individuals to reach their peak potential in various facets of life, be it functional strength, weight management, martial arts or gymnastics. Under the tutelage of James FitzGerald, Mizar clinched consecutive qualifications for the CrossFit Regionals, and also completed the OPEX Coaches Certification Program. Additionally, Mizar is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, was named 1998 and 2000 gymnastics athlete of the year in Canada, and has a degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in biomedical engineering from Dalhousie University.
