There's an African Proverb that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
In order to be successful in your independent music journey, you're going to absolutely need a community.
Black women are inherently communal. It's imperative that we join community, build community, and give back to our communities in order for us and our community to be successful.
