Fear not the Last Judgment—it's your liberation, not your condemnation.
We've been taught to tremble at the thought of God's final judgment, imagining it as divine wrath that might condemn us to eternal suffering. But what if everything we believed about judgment was backward? What if the Last Judgment is actually the greatest gift we could receive?
In this profound clarification of A Course in Miracles, Hope Johnson reveals the radical truth: God's judgment is mercy, not punishment. It's the voice for God proclaiming "what is false is false and what is true has never changed." This judgment contains no condemnation—it sees the world as totally forgiven, without sin, and wholly purposeless. As perception ends, the world simply slips away into nothingness, taking with it all the figures from the dream in which it began.
The ego fears this judgment because it signals the ego's end, projecting this fear as punishment or death itself.
