The National Center for Education Statistics reported that the average tuition in the 2020/21 calendar year was $9,400 for a public institution; $37,600 for a private nonprofit institution; and $18,200 for a private for-profit. This, of course, is before the additional costs (stethoscope, drug guidebook, scrubs, etc.) associated with attending a nursing program.
