Join Mathew and his guest, Roger Lichfield as they dive into the topic of mental health on a high-performance level. Listen as they discuss overcoming the stigma of mental health issues, why it is important to have two different types of managers working for you, and their advice for leaders in both dealing with their own mental health and that of their team. About the Host: Matthew Cox spent his elementary and middle school years thinking there was something wrong with his brain. For him, schoolwork was a daunting, frustrating, and often embarrassing challenge. Being diagnosed with a learning disability during high school helped he finally put a name to the problem, and to begin his journey to personal and academic success. “I’ve learned to befriend my elephant, I’ve named him George,” Matthew said. “George is not going away but I can choose how I feel about him.” Through his own experience, Matthew knows what it means to be a teenager in trouble as well as what it takes to run a business. Matthew brings inspiration, humor, and practical strategies during his speaking engagements, inspiring change to those he works with. Thanks to family members and caring adults in his life, Matthew was able to overcome the hardship of his disability and has dedicated his life to helping others find their purpose and help families succeed. Matthew is back to continue the conversation about today’s business world. From free capitalism to high unemployment rates because people are not wanting to go back to work to robotics in the workplace, Matthew explores the trends that are happening for businesses in 2021. About the Host: Matthew Cox spent his elementary and middle school years thinking there was something wrong with his brain. For him, schoolwork was a daunting, frustrating, and often embarrassing challenge. He was the kid who never seemed to catch up with his classmates, no matter how hard he tried. “Growing up with a disability was like having an elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about,” Matthew explained. Matthew offers a variety of training workshops and speaking engagements to fit your needs including: Effective Communication Business personality profile (True Colors) based on the Myer Briggs. 1 S2E01: Get A Grip – How to Get Everything You Want from Your Entrepreneurial Business with Mike Paton 37:19
Matthew is back!! After a bit of a hiatus, Matthew has returned with a special guest, award-winning speaker, author and Global Ambassador for EOS Worldwide, Mike Paton. Join Mike and Matthew as they discuss the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System®), the common frustrations of entrepreneurs, Mike’s passion for helping entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses, and his next book about strengthening the process component of your business. About the Guest: Mike Paton has been learning from entrepreneurs for most of his life. Today he works hard to give back - as an award-winning speaker, best-selling author, Certified EOS Implementer®, and as the Global Ambassador for EOS Worldwide. Paton discovered the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®) a dozen years ago while trying to take a $7 million company to the next level. Feeling stuck and more than a little frustrated, his search for answers led him to Gino Wickman and EOS. Having helped run four entrepreneurial companies, Paton instantly recognized the power of this simple, holistic “way of operating” a small business. He quickly became a passionate advocate, joined the Professional EOS Implementer Community, and dedicated himself to helping other entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses. Since then, Paton has conducted more than 1,200 full-day sessions with the leadership teams of more than 110 companies and helped thousands more entrepreneurs by sharing EOS in dynamic talks and workshops the world over. During that journey, Paton wrote Get A Grip: An Entrepreneurial Fable with Gino Wickman and then succeeded Gino in the role of Visionary for EOS Worldwide for five years. Today he spends all his time helping entrepreneurs implement EOS, run better businesses, and live better lives.
