We interview Charles Muwunga Mwebe – Human Rights Officer, UNSOM Baidoa about the human rights aspects of the UNSOM mandate, the office’s major priorities for 2021 and why it is important to provide trainings on human rights and protections to Somali National Army (SNA) We also interview Mohamud Abdi – Iniskoy for Peace and Development Organization (IPDO) about their collaboration with UNSOM on advocacy activities related to human rights and protection issues during Covid-19. He also discusses how these projects fitting into the overall efforts in South West State to support the human rights values of inclusive and non-discrimination during their response to Covid19.
