Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20 Sermon Notes 1. In the last chapter of the the letter of Ephesians, Paul is telling them that The Christian life has all resources you need to stand, to persist, to endure, to thrive. Paul uses the imagery of an armor to illustrate these resources. 2. The reason why we have such a hard time growing is that we have these resources available to us but we're not putting them on. 3. Understand that Christianity has at it's fingertips the riches of resources that can make its followers able to withstand any storm. a. Are you struggling with identity? Put on the armor of God b. Are you struggling with self worth? Put on the armor of God c. Are you struggling with purpose and meaning? Put on the armor of God d. Are you beaten down and don't know if there's any hope? Put on the armor of God 4. Today we will talk about the Sandals of Peace I. The Sandal gives us footing to Stand Firm (A Principled Life) a. The great need of this hour is that there are people with internal principles who will stand instead of bend. II. The Sandal gives us footing to Always be Ready to Move (A Pro-active Life) a. No better way to spiritual destruction than a sluggish, lifeless Christian b. To be fitted means you step with purpose! You align yourself, you ready yourself, you cultivate spiritual readiness that when God calls you move! III.
