Three-Inning Save: Shohei Ohtani blows past 50-50 with his most ridiculous game & week yet
Manage episode 441522415 series 45485
On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, we marvel at Shohei Ohtani, baseball’s first 50-50 player.
The superstar clinched 50-50 on the same day the Dodgers clinched a playoff berth, the first of Ohtani’s career. On that day in Miami, Ohtani has six hits, two doubles, three home runs, two stolen bases, and 10 RBI in one of most ridiculous single games in baseball history.
Then he kept going during the next series, including a game-tying home run in the ninth inning in a win over the Rockies, in a game in which Ohtani already stole two bases. He enters the season’s final week with 53 home runs and 55 stolen bases.
The Three-Inning Save is part of the Fans First Sports Network. Hosted by Eric Stephen and Jacob Burch, with questions from Craig Minami. Produced by Brian Salvatore.
