Episode 50 is a conversation with RJ Smita Ranadive. In this episode, we talk about RJing and how to make a career in the same via her journey. After conversing with her I realized what goes behind bringing a show to life. RJing requires meticulous planning and research before bringing a show to life. It is not just conversation skills but an RJ is required to manage the entire show, including managing the ups and downs that come along with the live shows. Listen to the episode to know more about the life of an RJ in detail.

Smita started her career with Radio at a very young age. she along with her colleagues helped set up the very first radio station in Pune city and made a place in the hearts of the residents. She has been an RJ for the past 18 years and now is a mentor and Programming controller at Radio Mirchi. Apart from that, she is also a blogger, a singer (watch out for her melodious voice on the episode), and also a YouTuber. She is also planning to start a voice control and modulation programme soon for budding RJs and also for anyone who just wants to learn this craft.

Talking points:

1. About her journey as an RJ

2. Difference in the listeners back then and now

3. What are the skills required to be an RJ?

4. THe tools that are to be learnt to keep the show running smoothly

5. Funny anecdotes in an Rjs life

6. Message for anyone who wants to pursue a career in Rjing.
