This week Ian has a special tale from right here in our hometown. This is a peek at our show Deadly Lovers over on Patreon and also a special for Mothers Day, which is real messed up once you get into it.
Nance Dude was born to a poor family out on Utah Mountain off of J Creek. After her brother was attacked by a bear, her mother had a deep hatred of Nance she let be well known.
Nance would grow up to marry a couple of time and have a daughter. Her daughter would go on to have two girls, one of whom was rejected by her father. That rejection led Nance into the wilds of Utah Mountain with her two year old grand daughter Roberta.
When she showed back up alone, Nance was arrested. What happened to young Roberta is the stuff of nightmares and yet questions remain. Was what happen to Roberta done by Nance, or was it someone else, and Nance is just a scapegoat?
