Last night, hundreds of New York City Police officers entered Columbia University in riot gear - sweeping the encampment and the occupied building, detaining protesters. The crackdown at Columbia came alongside chaos at other campuses. Is this the right way to deal with the voices of dissent? Our guest, Professor John H. Stanfield doesn’t think so and says it does not bode well for anyone within or outside the United States since any threat to free speech is a threat to all of us no matter who or what we are.
