On this episode we talk with John Cawley on tips to prepare students for the job market. This episode is directed for people who are getting started with advising PhD Students. John talks about his process, and the process at Cornell. John is a Professor in the Department of Policy Analysis and Management, and the Department of Economics, at Cornell University. He is co-Director of Cornell's Institute on Health Economics, Health Behaviors and Disparities. His research focuses on the economics of risky health behaviors; in particular, those that relate to obesity.
