Mikey Ciccarelli is a professional snowboarder making a living from his riding for Burton and Rockstar Energy, living in Whistler BC. He currently competes in Travis Rice's Natural selection backcountry contest. Mikey grew up riding in Ontario at Mount St. Louis. He went on to the Canadian Olympic team after winning the Jr. Olympics in Slopestyle. Mikey has competed in X games and Dew tour and has won a World Cup event. Mikey has made the jump to riding in the backcountry filming full parts for Burton's movies. We discuss sponsorship, how Mark McMorris introduced him to Burton. We touch on training, fitness, accessing the flow state through breath work, being grateful for leading an extraordinary life and what it take to make a living as a Professional snowboarder.
