Karin Raguin, VP Talent & Special Projects, LVMH (Euronext Paris: MC)
Manage episode 316051110 series 3251511
Karin Raguin; Vice-President of Global Talent LVMH
Karin began her own career in human relations – employee training and reconversion – and those formative years left an indelible impression on how she viewed Human Resources. Karin learned the importance of combatting discrimination and witnessed the strength that some people gain from their fragile situations.
Karin has always had a taste for risk, complex and innovative environments. She joined LVMH in 2007 and feels at home there. For the past 10 years, she has worked in the area of talent and career management while developing and leading in-house coaching and leadership programs (EllesVMH coaching and Women@Dior). Identifying high-potential talents, showcasing their abilities, and finding the right environment for them to move up within the company is very gratifying. The positive impact of helping others is a source of daily satisfaction.
What could be better than having the freedom to work creatively as part of a global luxury goods company that is such a high concentration of brilliant minds? The values of diversity and inclusion promoted by LVMH are consistent with her own views regarding equality and doing things the right way. Karin's arrival in New York in 2019 was a wonderful cultural transition since words turn quickly into actions.
Motivated by the examples of high-profile women, e.g. Hannah Arendt or Michelle Obama to cite but two, Karin has had the good fortune to work with many inspirational talents. She is a member for the past 20 years of various associations and boards promoting gender equality and continuously strives to break through glass ceilings.
As a woman who specializes in communications and networking, Karin believes that social media is a great tool for showcasing talents, amplifying authentic voices, and creating social value. She believes that if you share these views, then everyone undoubtedly has a lot in common and she welcomes the opportunity to speak with you.
