Accomplishments:

-Negotiated new contracts for trash service with Marborg.

-Purchased Zaca golf course.

-Asked Assembly Member Hart for River Trail funds and received $425,000 from the state.

-Lobbied sheriff’s department for motorcycle traffic officers.

Moved Library to Willemsen house and opened old library for senior center.

Insisted on red curbs at Valley Vineyard to prevent parking at the stop signs.

Items in process:

-Negotiating for opening bowling alley.

-Negotiating to re-open movie theater.

-Negotiating for ball fields in Willemsen property.

-In discussions with Caltrans to narrow the lanes on highway 246.

-In discussions with Caltrans to put red signals at crosswalks on highway 246.

-In negotiations to start a thousand trees in a thousand days program.

Mayor of Buellton, CA Dave King, was Born in Lynwood, Ca. and Moved to San Bernardino at 2 years old where he grew up, and Graduated from Pacific High School.

Dave Joined the navy after graduation. He Was an Electronic Warfare Technician, Served on the USS Midway in Japan (now a museum in San Diego).

Dave Went to college in San Diego and joined the CHP out of college where he Did 25 years in the CHP, 21 as a motorcycle officer.

Dave Moved to Buellton in 2004 from Santa Barbara and Retired in 2008, when he ran for City Counsel and one.

And, Dave spent 5 years on the road with Jeff Bridges and The Abiders, as his personal body guard, as well as equipment manager and equipment transporter.
