Nevertheless, our depth-psychological reading of the text offers an additional, unique definition of the wasteland, as well as the feminine origins of this collective epic. In particular, we are able to discern wisdom from three guiding principles: Mystery, hospitality, and justice. Given the tragic eruption of war in the Middle East, and the ongoing suffering globally, this is a powerful moment to integrate the ways in which we can offer the balm of justice to ourselves and others.
