Another thing I see a lot of business owners doing is overwhelming their audience. I spoke with a couple of different podcast producers to start my podcast and after a casual inquiry, one of them sent me a huge wall of text that overwhelmed me so much that I didn’t even read it. I ended up ghosting her… oops.
Are you trying to prove yourself by sending out way too much information? Is that working, or are you just overwhelming them? Are they sensing the desperation and steering clear?
Think about the majority of your ideal clients. You don’t have to give them every single nugget of information you’ve ever found. When doing your market research, what do 80% of them need? You don’t need to cater to 100% of the people you talk to. You don’t need to be a jack-of-all-trades.
What you need to do is envision yourself reaching the next small goal, and really believe in it. Don’t think too big and overwhelm yourself, but focus on taking the next believable action and really go for it!
