In this episode we explore the wonderful business career of Molly De Mattos. Molly began working on her leadership skills as an NCAA division one athlete, throwing shot-put and discus for eight consecutive seasons of track and field, both indoor and outdoor, at the University of North Carolina at Ashevill From there, she moved into the world of nonprofit before deciding the right place to develop her skill set would be in real estate! With the encouragement of her family, Molly got her license in 2005 and quickly developed a love of helping all clients, especially Buyers. In 2011 she partnered with Matt Tavener and they together created The Matt & Molly Team serving much of the mountains of Western North Carolina. The team consistently closes over 200 transactions per year and is affectionally called, “Molly‘s baby.”
When not running the team, Molly is a passion for coaching and teaching! She is a KWU instructor and is also a head coach for KW MAPS BOLD coaching and loves helping people change their own lives through the magic of the BOLD program.
In 2021, Molly was asked to help develop and run KSCORE and KW Prep to help bring opportunity for all through the amazing career path of real estate! Helping market centers learn how to effectively offer scholarships for both pre-licensing education, as well as career coaching, molly now spends as time as possible helping others discover this passion!
Molly also loves vacation travel, spending time with friends, watching football and most importantly, as much time as possible with her family: her wife of 20 years, two cats and a honey badger disguised as a cattle dog.
